Michelle Robinson

Michelle Robinson was convicted in 2007 of the murder and robbery of her friend William who was visiting her apartment. While William was in the apartment, she left and connected with a man whom she owed money. Michelle was threatened because of the debt — she was told that she would be shot if she didn’t let him inside to rob William. Reluctantly, she obliged. During the robbery, William was shot.

The two men who robbed William each got plea deals. Michelle went to trial and lost: She wound up with the most time, 18-to-life.

On July 31, 2019, after serving 12 years of her sentence, Michelle took a plea deal and was released from prison. With our continued help, I’m confident that Michelle will make the most of her second chance.
